Hi, I'm Alexa Shay!
I'm Alexa Shay, Creator of Whimsical Whatevers!

ABOUT ME:
I'm a giant nerd and a fan of Marvel, DC, and tons of different anime. Batman is my favorite superhero and yes, he can beat Superman. I'm a vegan just because I found out that cows have best friends and I feel like that tells you a lot about me.
ABOUT MY ART:
I love all things cute, colorful, and happy and that love shows through in my art. Some of my favorite artists that inspire me are Amy Mebberson, Ro Higashi, Ocean in Space, Pikarar, and channelSQUARE.
I use Procreate on an iPad with an Apple Pencil for my drawings.
ABOUT MY WRITING:
When I was in second grade, I said that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up and I never let go of that. I now work in technical writing by day and am working on becoming a published author by night.
My favorite genre has always been fantasy (not sci-fi, fantasy), both classic and urban. I've always loved the idea of magic and other worlds and have spent many hours in worlds of my own making. I love the freedom to create my own universe and to see how my characters interact with it and each other.
If you're curious about what kinds of books I like, I keep track of my personal library (physical. Kindle, and audio books) on LibraryThing. I'll warn you, I'm eclectic by nature.
